Glen Travis Campbell was born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, Arkansas, and passed away peacefully in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 8, 2017, at the age of 81. A talented musician, singer, songwriter and actor, Glen found success in country, rock and pop music over his fifty-plus year career. He began as a studio session musician before rising to prominence as a solo artist with hits such as ”Galveston”, ”Rhinestone Cowboy”, and ”By the Time I Get to Phoenix”. He released over 70 albums and sold 45 million records while garnering 12 RIAA Gold albums, four Platinum albums, and one double-Platinum album. Among many accolades, Glen was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Glen is survived by his wife Kim; eight children; stepchildren; a brother; two sisters; a half-brother; and various grandchildren. He will be remembered as an impressive entertainer and beloved family man.
