Hélmer Herrera Buitrago, a native of Colombia, passed away on November 6th 1998 at the young age of 47. He was a beloved son, father, and husband, and is remembered fondly by his family and friends. Hélmer had a passion for politics and social activism, and was devoted to helping his community. He was an active member of many organizations, and spent much of his time volunteering. He is predeceased by his father, and survived by his mother, wife, children, and siblings. Hélmer was an inspirational figure in the Colombian community, and will be deeply missed. His legacy of service and activism will live on in the lives of those he touched.
