On June 25th, 1988, Hillel Slovak, age 26, tragically passed away. From humble beginnings, Slovak rose swiftly in the music scene, playing with the group What is This?, alongside his friend Anthony Kiedis, before joining the iconic Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1983.
