It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Palance, who died on November 10, 2006. He was 87 years old. Palance was born in Lattimer Mines, Pennsylvania in 1919. He had a fruitful career in films, and won numerous awards including an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1991 film “City Slickers.” He was a veteran of World War II, and served in the US Army Air Forces. Palance is remembered for his powerful presence on the silver screen, appearing in such iconic films as “Shane” (1953), “Attack” (1956), and “The Therapy of Ugly” (1959). He is survived by his three children, Holly, Brooke, and Cody, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our hearts go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
