James R. Jordan, Sr., a hard-working father of five and devoted husband, passed away on 1993-07-23 at the age of 56. He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to James and Deloris Jordan, and was married to Deloris for twenty-six years. Jordan will be remembered for his passionate dedication to his family, career, and community. Durings his years of service to the Coast Guard, Jordan held numerous positions; he completed a tour of duty in Vietnam and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 1989. He was involved with in numerous community organizations, including the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by daughters, Deloris and Roslyn; and sons, James Jr., Larry, and Michael. James R. Jordan, Sr. will be deeply missed by his family and remembered fondly as a beloved father, husband, and member of his community.
