Jay Sebring, formally Thomas John Kummer, passed away in Los Angeles on August 9, 1969, at the age of 35. His life ended too soon, but not without having had an inspiring impact on society. Sebring was a famed hairstylist, credited with inventing various cutting and styling techniques. He served as the official hairdresser for many celebrities, including Sharon Tate, Steve McQueen, and Frank Sinatra. His hard work in the beauty industry eventually led him to establish the "Sebring International" salon, which was based in West Hollywood. He became a major trendsetter in the industry and a pioneer in the beauty world. Sebring is survived by his family and friends, who remember him fondly for his enthusiasm and creativity. His dedication to his craft and his positive outlook on life will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved him.
