Jean-Paul Belmondo, beloved actor, passed away on 2021-09-06 at the age of 88. He was best known for his suave on-screen persona as well as his versatility and considered one of the most influential actors of his generation. Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France in 1933, Belmondo made his film debut in 1959 with Breathless, a film which would launch him into stardom. Throughout his career, Belmondo starred in a wide variety of films, including Pierrot le Fou, Zazie dans le Métro, That Man from Rio, Docteur Popaul, and Braqua l'homme au pistolet d'or. He was awarded the French Legion of Honor in 1961 as well as an Honorary César Award for his career in 1996. Belmondo leaves behind a legacy of entertaining audiences with his on-screen charm and presence. He will be remembered as one of the great French actors of his generation. His loss will be felt deeply by his friends, family, and fans.
