It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jeff Buckley announces his passing on May 29th, 1997 at the age of 30. Jeff was an accomplished singer and songwriter who made a name for himself in the music industry and touched the lives of many around him. He was signed to his first record label at the age of 19 and released his album “Grace” to significant critical acclaim. He toured extensively to promote the album and received numerous awards for his work, such as the New York Music Awards for Best Male Vocalist in 1994. Jeff had a passionate and powerful voice that was capable of reaching both angelic and haunting heights, known for covering a variety of musical styles and making them his own. He will be remembered and missed by his family, friends, and fans around the world. May he rest in peace.
