It is with great sadness that the family of Jennifer Syme announces her passing at the age of 28 on April 2, 2001. Jennifer was born on December 7, 1972 in Pico River, California, the daughter of Maria St. John and John R. Syme. Jennifer lived a life filled with the friends she loved. She was an outgoing young woman and cherished spending time with family and friends. She was a talented student and athlete, and had earned several awards in academic and sports during her school years. She loved music and had played in several bands, as well as running sound for well-known local artists. In addition to her family, Jennifer also leaves behind her boyfriend Keanu Reeves, along with many good friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may attend a memorial service held on April 4th at St. John's Episcopal Church in Pico River. A reception will follow at the Syme residence at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jennifer's memory to the American Association for Cancer Research.
