Longtime Oregon resident Jerry Brudos passed away on March 28th, 2006, at the age of 67. Jerry had an extensive background in aviation, having served in the Air Force and later as a helicopter instructor. Born in 1939, Jerry developed an early psychological fascination with women's shoes. He was also an avid collector of stolen items such as bras, underwear, and shoes. His criminal activity eventually escalated to murder and mutilation, making him one of Oregon’s most notorious serial killers. As a result, he was incarcerated in 1969 and remained there until his death. Jerry is survived by his wife, four children, and five grandchildren. His family remembers him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as an honest, hardworking man. Jerry Brudos will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, but his legacy remains as one of Oregon’s most infamous criminals.
