It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Jill Dando, beloved TV presenter and journalist, on April 26th, 1999 at the age of 37. Jill is most known for her work as a presenter on the BBC's Crimewatch and Holiday programs. She also had a successful career dating back to the early 1980s. She began her career in regional broadcasting and quickly moved up to become one of the most recognizable faces in British television. Jill was wildly popular in the UK due to her warmth, intelligence, and charisma. She was a passionate advocate for justice and was involved in numerous charities throughout her life. Jill was an amazing person, an inspiring woman, and will be sorely missed by her family, friends and thousands of fans. She will live on in our hearts and memories.
