Joan Bennett, a beloved mother, actress, and philanthropist, passed away on December 7, 1990, at the age of 80. Born in Palisades, New Jersey, Joan was a prolific actress in an impressive career that spanned half a century. In addition to a successful acting career, Joan was an active philanthropist. She was involved with the Los Angeles Library Guild and the Los Angeles Opera Organization, and she was a founding member of the Film Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Joan is survived by her four children, with whom she had a special bond. She also leaves behind a loving and devoted husband of 30 years, Jack Mosher, and three grandchildren.
