Jose Antonio Reyes, beloved soccer player and native of Utrera, Seville, Spain, died on June 1st, 2019 at the age of 35. Reyes began his professional soccer career early, joining the Sevilla youth system aged 10, then made his debut for the main team in 2000. He went on to transfer to many clubs, including Arsenal and Real Madrid, and was capped 21 times for Spain's national team. He won five Europa Leagues with three different clubs, in addition to five other titles. Throughout his career, Reyes won many awards and honors, including being voted La Liga Player of the Month in April 2004 and being named to the UEFA Europa League Squad of the Season in 2014–15. He is survived by his father, mother, sister, and two children. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
