During his 12-year tenure with the Bucks, Bridgeman became known as a reliable scorer and was even named the team's sixth man of the year in 1986. After retiring from basketball in 1987, Bridgeman turned his attention to the world of business. He used his earnings from the NBA to invest in Wendy's fast-food franchises, eventually becoming the second-largest franchise operator in the United States.
