On November 10th, 2022, Kevin Conroy, legendary voice actor, died peacefully at the age of 66. With a career spanning forty years, Kevin was best known for voicing the Dark Knight in numerous television shows, movies, video games, and radio programs. Kevin was born in 1955 in Westbury, New York. After graduating from high school, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ithaca College in 1977. Kevin began his career as a Broadway actor and then shifted to animation and film in 1986. He gained worldwide fame for his iconic portrayal of Batman in the Batman: The Animated Series, several direct-to-video films, and video games such as Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight. In addition, Kevin also provided the voice of Bruce Wayne and other characters in Justice League, The New Batman Adventures, and other shows produced by DC Comics. He also narrated radio adaptations of the Batman comics in the 1990s. A true master of his craft, Kevin won many awards, including a BTVA People’s Choice Voice Acting Award, a BTVA Television Voice Acting Award, and an Emmy nomination. The news of his passing has sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. He was a beloved figure in the world of animation and will be sorely missed.
