L'Wren Scott, the renowned fashion designer and stylist, has passed away on March 17th, 2014, at the age of 49. L'Wren was born in the small town of Roy, Utah in 1965. After graduating from high school, she moved to Paris to purse a career in fashion and design. Throughout her career, L'Wren was known for her pioneering and modern take on couture, which won her recognition from the international fashion world. In addition to her fashion design work, L'Wren held many prominent roles over the years. She worked as a stylist and consultant in the film and television industries, while also designing pieces for brands such as Banana Republic and Barneys New York. In addition she founded the clothing and accessories brand, Little Black Dress. L'Wren was also a highly successful businesswoman; she received an honorary degree from the University of Utah in 2003, and was later named CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2010. She will be remembered for her unique and avant-garde approach to fashion, her professional successes, and her enduring spirit. L'Wren is predeceased by her father Ivan Bambrough, and is survived by her mother Lula Bambrough, and her brother Randall Bambrough.
