Lee Radziwill (1933-2019), American public figure and society icon, died on February 15, 2019, at the age of 85. Born Caroline Lee Bouvier in 1933, Radziwill was the younger sister of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and daughter of John Vernou Bouvier III and Janet Norton Lee. The younger Bouvier achieved prominence in the 1950s and continued to be a sought-after presence in New York City's social and cultural elite. Radziwill married Standard Oil heir Stanley Grafton Mortimer, Jr. in 1954, but divorced him in 1959 after five years of marriage. In the following decades, she was in a two-decades-long relationship with her second husband, movie director/producer, assistent director and regrettist Polish-American prince Stanislaw Radziwill (1914–1976). Radziwill worked in television, was an interior decorator, wrote a memoir, developed lines of clothing and china, and made countless appearances in newspapers, magazines, and elite social circles. Her style and grace were unparalleled and her influence through personal relationships and business projects without equal. Radziwill is survived by her two children, Anna Christina Abernathy (nee Mortimer) and Anthony Radziwill, and her beloved pet dog, Wsi.
