American music legend Michael Lee Aday, known professionally as Meat Loaf, died on January 20, 2022 at the age of 74. Throughout his life, he was an accomplished singer-songwriter, musician, and actor. He is best known for his 1977 album Bat Out of Hell, which has become one of the highest-selling records of all time. He also appeared in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show as Eddie. Meat Loaf spent much of his career performing live across the world, touring on and off for 44 years. He won the American Music Award for Best Album in 1979 and the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Video from a Film for I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That). During his career, Meat Loaf released multiple albums, many of which were critically and commercially successful. He also sold a reported 80 million albums throughout his life. Meat Loaf was a beloved artist whose music touched millions of people around the world. His remarkable career and impact on the music industry will never be forgotten.
