The world mourns the death of Michael Clarke Duncan, who passed away from a heart attack at the age of 54. Duncan was born in Chicago, and discovered by director/producer Michael Bay after working as a bodyguard for several prominent celebrities, including Will Smith. His break-out acting role came in the 1999 hit film "The Green Mile," for which he received an Academy Award nomination. Duncan went on to star in a range of films, including "Daredevil," "Planet of the Apes," and "The Scorpion King." In addition to his acting career, Duncan was known for his philanthropic work. In 2010, he won the "Outstanding Contribution Humanitarian" award from the Young Artist's Foundation for his dedication to fostering positive change. Duncan was an integral part of the Hollywood community, and will be cherished in the memories of his family, friends, and fans worldwide.
