Obituary Miloš Forman, a celebrated Czech-American filmmaker and two-time Academy Award-winning director, passed away in Connecticut on April 13th, 2018 at the age of 86. Forman was most renowned for his films One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Amadeus (1984), The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996), and Man on the Moon (1999), all of which won him numerous awards throughout his career, such as two Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards and two BAFTA Awards. Forman was born in Czechoslovakia in 1932 and lost both of his parents in the Holocaust. After graduating from the Prague Film Academy in the 1950s, he moved to the United States in 1969 and achieved fame with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Forman is survived by three children and his second wife, Martina Zborilova. He will be deeply missed by his family and fans around the world.
