On February 12, 1985, the life of Nicholas Colasanto came to an end. Born on January 19, 1924 in Providence, RI, Nicholas was an impressive individual who achieved a great deal in a relatively short period of time. Nicholas went on to serve with distinction in the United States Navy during World War II, participating in notable battles such as Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After his service, he attended Providence College, graduating in 1952 with a degree in English literature. Nicholas’ career saw him become a successful educator in the Providence public school system. After ten years, he changed paths and found a home in the entertainment industry, making an impressive career as an actor and director in television and film. Nicholas is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Pat Colasanto, his son Danny, and his daughter Lynn. He was 61 years old. May his memory be a blessing.
