Robert Goulet, beloved entertainer and performer, passed away on October 31, 2007 at the age of 73. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on November 26, 1933. Goulet had a worldwide presence in the performing arts from the late 1950s until his passing, starting with his Broadway debut in 1957. Prior to debuting on Broadway, he made his first television appearance on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. His great success on Broadway, which included roles in Camelot, and Edith Piaf, earned him two Tony Award nominations in 1963. Goulet became a star in nightclubs around the world, along with a prolific recording career. Goulet received the George Peabody Award in 1965 for his television special, Robert Goulet In Person. In addition to Broadway and television, Goulet had success in film and Las Vegas. Goulet earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1982. Robert Goulet enjoyed a lifelong career entertaining audiences. He was a beloved figure who will be remembered and fondly missed.
