We are saddened to announce the passing of Nikola Tesla on January 7th, 1943, at the age of 86. He was a renowned electrical engineer, inventor, physicist, and futurist. Tesla was born in what is now known as Croatia in 1856 and immigrated to the United States in 1884. Once he arrived, he worked his way up to becoming a respected engineer and physicist, eventually acquiring over 30 patents. He is best known for his contributions to the alternating-current power system, X-radiation, and wireless communication. Tesla was widely respected in the scientific community and was honored with numerous awards and accolades. Over the course of his career, he had the privilege of being granted more than 750 patents in multiple countries. Tesla had many theories and ideas that were ahead of their time and his vision of progress in science and engineering had a lasting impact. His legacy is remembered by many and will live on through his works and those who studied and admired his accomplishments. May he rest in peace.
