Nutan (1936-1991) passed away on February 21, 1991, at the age of 54. She was an acclaimed Indian actress and had a legendary film career that spanned nearly four decades. During her career, she earned acclaim for her nuanced performances in Hindi films such as Bandini, Anuraag, Seema, Sujata, and Milan. She also won five Filmfare Awards, with two awards for Best Actress. Nutan was recognized for her work and named a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to the Indian film industry by Queen Elizabeth II. Her body of work and legacy will continue to be remembered.
