Born on September 22, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ole had a lifelong love for wrestling. He began his career as a professional wrestler in the 1960s and quickly rose to fame in the industry. He became known for his intense and aggressive style in the ring, earning him the nickname "The Meanest Gene." Throughout his career, Ole competed in various wrestling promotions, including the National Wrestling Alliance and the American Wrestling Association. He also co-founded the iconic wrestling group, The Four Horsemen, in 1985, with fellow wrestlers Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. In addition to his successful wrestling career, Ole also had a passion for training future wrestlers. He opened a wrestling school in Atlanta, Georgia, where he mentored and coached aspiring wrestlers. Ole will be remembered for his contributions to the wrestling world and the impact he had on the sport. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and fans. At the request of the family, a private memorial service will be held to honor Ole's life and legacy. His legacy will live on through his students and the memories of those who knew and loved him.
