It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Owen Hart on May 23rd, 1999, at the age of 34. Owen Hart was born on May 7th, 1965 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was a professional wrestler and part of the Hart wrestling family. He was an 8-time Tag Team Champion, and was known as “The King of Harts”. Owen was renowned for his skills and athleticism inside and outside of the ring. He was trained by his father, Stu Hart, and perfected his craft. Owen was a beloved brother, cousin, and friend to many in the wrestling community. The world mourns the loss of this great athlete and his life cut far too short. He will be remembered fondly for his contributions to the sport of wrestling and for his kind heart. He leaves behind many family and friends who will miss him greatly.
