Paulette Goddard, born Marion Levy in 1902, passed away in her sleep on April 23, 1990 at the age of 79. She was an iconic actress and starred in numerous films throughout her career. Paulette’s film debut was in the 1934 silent comedy film “Kid Millions.” She then went on to star in over 60 films, including Charlie Chaplin’s 1940 comedy-drama “The Great Dictator.” Her career extended into the 1950s, when she took on several character roles. Some of her other popular films include “Chained” (1934), “Modern Times” (1936) and “So Proudly We Hail” (1943). Paulette was known for her beauty, charm and style. She made waves as one of the first women to buck conventions of femininity, and her no-nonsense approach to her career made her an iconic female figure in the world of entertainment. Throughout her long and successful career, Paulette was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress twice. Paulette is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren. She will be remembered for her incredible contributions to the entertainment industry, her beauty and passion for life. Her memory will live on for generations to come.
