Pete Burns, singer and television personality, died on October 23, 2016. He was 57 years old. Burns is best known for his work with the British band Dead or Alive, who had a string of chart-topping singles during the late 80s and early 90s, including "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" which reached number one in the UK singles charts in 1985. Burns also appeared on numerous British TV talk and reality shows, becoming a familiar face to people across the UK. He featured as a panelist on various programmes such as “This Morning”, “Loose Women” and the gameshow “Celebrity Coach Trip”. Burns released his autobiography “Freak Unique” in 2006 and had recently announced plans for a new album. He is survived by his partner Michael Simpson and two children.
