On December 24, 1984, Peter Lawford passed away at the age of 61. Lawford was a well-known actor and entertainer. He is best remembered for his role in the classic musical film "Anchors Aweigh" in 1945 and as a member of "The Rat Pack," sharing the stage with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, and Joey Bishop. Lawford was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his work in the 1950 film "The White Tower," and appeared in numerous other movies. His television credits included his Emmy-nominated portrayal of National Security Adviser McHenry in the miniseries "Fame and Fortune," along with several other guest and series roles. Lawford was also a spokesperson for Murine Eye Drops, playing the character of Tony. He was an avid golfer and philanthropist. Lawford is survived by his three children, Christopher, Sydney, and Victoria.
