On May 3rd, 2006, Pramod Mahajan of Mumbai, India passed away at the age of 56. He was born on March 30th, 1950, in Mahableshwar, India. Pramod was a major political figure in India, serving in active positions of power for over 30 years. He was elected to the 12th and 13th Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament from the Mumbai North-Central Constituency and was a former leader of Bharatiya Janata Party in India. Pramod held several positions of prominence during his career, including Union Cabinet Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Minister of Civil Aviation and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. He was recognised for many successful projects carried out during his time in office. Pramod was an advocate for education, having founded various educational organisations. Pramod leaves behind his wife Rekha, his daughter Poonam, and his son Rahul. He was a beloved figure to those who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication to the people of India.
