Pratyusha Banerjee, born August 10, 1991, passed away on April 1, 2016 at 24 years old. Pratyusha was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and studied in Podar International School, Mumbai. Pratyusha was best known for her work as Anandi in the Indian television drama Balika Vadhu and as the participant in the reality show Bigg Boss in 2013. Pratyusha had recently worked in the controversial show "Hum Hain Na" as Kanu. Pratyusha is survived by her parents, Soma Banerjee and Shankar Banerjee, along with her many close friends and extended family. Friends described her as an outgoing and happy person who had everyone, who knew her, laughing. She will be sorely missed, and a legacy in the form of her art will remain with us.
