Reg E. Cathey, 59, died on February 9, 2018. Over the course of his successful career as an Emmy Award-winning actor, Reg featured in a number of memorable projects, ranging from TV series to feature films. His most iconic performances were in the crime drama television series The Wire and the Netflix series House of Cards. In addition to his onscreen roles, Reg also earned acclaim as a founding member of the Harlem Shakespeare Festival. Reg also held a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota. He was a natural performer, gracing stages both large and small throughout his career. His extensive body of work touched many, with his roles demonstrating a talent for comedy, drama and everything in between. Reg will be remembered for his passion and dedication to the craft, his strong sense of justice, and his ability to bring characters and stories to life.
