Ronnie Spector rose to fame in the 1960s as a founding member of the all-female, vocal doo-wop group, The Ronettes. She was admired for her strong, powerful voice, and often referred to as the "Original Bad Girl of Rock & Roll." Her first hit single as a solo artist, a cover of The Crystals' "Be My Baby," rose to the top of the charts and established Spector as a legend. Her many hits followed, including "Try Some Buy Some," "Oh, Yeah, Baby, Baby," "Sleigh Ride," and "Walking in the Rain."
