It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Halladay, a beloved husband, father, friend, and former athlete. He passed away on November 7, 2017 at the age of 40. Roy Halladay was born on May 14, 1977, in Denver, Colorado. He was a two-time Cy Young award-winning pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies. He was a fierce competitor on the mound and a respected leader off the field. He reached the pinnacle of his career in 2010 when he won the Cy Young Award in the National League. During his illustrious 16-year career, Roy Halladay became the 20th pitcher to achieve 200 career wins and was selected to eight All-Star games. He was also the only pitcher in MLB history to throw a perfect game in the regular season and a no-hitter in the playoffs. Roy is survived by his loving wife Brandy, and his two children, Ryan and Bradley. He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
