Scatman Crothers, who was born Benjamin Sherman Crothers on May 23, 1910, passed away on November 23, 1986 at 76 years old. Scatman was an American actor and jazz singer who was well known for his television and film roles. He was a talented singer, having a large range of vocal styles, from bass to soprano. His most renowned film role was as "the Chauffeur" in the 1975 classic "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." But his big break was as "The Voice" of Hanna-Barbera's Hong Kong Phooey, a cartoon character from the 1970s. In addition to his roles in both film and television, he also toured as a jazz singer and established himself as a vibrant figure in the entertainment industry for decades. Scatman lived a rich life full of memories and experiences that will be deeply cherished. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and fans.
