With much sorrow we announce the passing of Simon Monjack. Simon Monjack died on May 23, 2010 at age 40. As an esteemed screenwriter, Monjack had worked on, among other films, Factory Girl (2006), starring Sienna Miller and Hayden Christensen. Monjack also devoted himself to the acting career of his wife, Brittany Murphy. Monjack was born in Hillingdon, London, and went on to attend the University of Westminster, from which he graduated in 1999. Monjack leaves behind his wife, Brittany Murphy, as well as a large circle of family and friends who are grieving his loss. The legacy of Simon Monjack will live on through his work as a screenwriter and his dedication to helping his wife grow her acting career. His joyful spirit and kind nature will be sadly missed.
