It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of comic book artist Steve Ditko, who died on June 29th 2018 at the age of 90. Ditko began his professional career in 1954, illustrating crime and adventure stories for Atlas Comics. He then went on to become one of the most influential comic book creators of all time. Working for both Marvel and DC Comics, Ditko is best remembered for co-creating popular characters such as Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. His work earned numerous awards throughout his lifetime, including the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1990. Ditko will be remembered as a creative genius whose work continues to shape the comic book industry to this day. His influence will carry on with future generations of artists. He is survived by his family, friends and fans.
