It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of Terry-Thomas on January 8th, 1990. He was 78 years young. Terry-Thomas was a beloved entertainer, known the world over for his comic performances. Born Thomas Terry Hoar Stevens on July 10th, 1911 in London, he began his career as a comedian shortly after serving in World War II. Starting as an amateur entertainer, he quickly rose to prominence with his now famous comic catchphrase "Good heavens, you don't mean it!" He appeared in a series of successful films throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In recognition of his contributions and accolades, he was made a Commander of the British Empire in 1975. His wit and charisma will be deeply missed.
