Tupac Amaru Shakur (1971-1996), widely known as the iconic hip-hop artist 2Pac, has died. He was 25 years old at the time of his death. Born in Harlem, New York, he began writing rhymes at the age of 16 and gained recognition for his first rap group, Digital Underground. He released his solo debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, in 1991. His following album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., garnered him significant recognition, with hits such as “Keep Ya Head Up”, “I Get Around”, “Dear Mama”, and “So Many Tears”. 2Pac also made a mark in Hollywood with roles in films such as Juice, Poetic Justice, and Above the Rim. During his career he sold over 75 million albums, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. Tupac Amaru Shakur leaves behind a vast and long-lasting legacy. His influence is celebrated and remembered by fans worldwide.
