Yash Chopra, renowned and celebrated Bollywood producer, director, and screenwriter, passed away on October 21, 2012 at the age of 80. Yash Rai Chopra was born in Lahore, British India on September 27, 1932. He is most famous for his romantic and musical films, thanks to a nearly 60 year career that began in 1959 as an assistant director. He was the owner of Yash Raj Films, one of the leading production companies in the Indian Subcontinent. He directed some of the most iconic Indian movies of all time including Ittefaq, Kabhie Kabhie, Dhool Ka Phool, and Deewar.
