Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon, passed away on 13 January 2017 at the age of 86. He was an English photographer who married the late Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, in 1960. They had two children. He began his career as a photographer for British Vogue magazine in 1960 and also ran his own successful photography business. He was a Life Peer and held the title Baron of Tonypandy. In addition, he held the style His Royal Highness (HRH) from his marriage to Princess Margaret but waived the style following their divorce in 1978. Among his other honors, he was awarded the Royal Photographic Society's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. Known for his expertise in the art of portraiture, the Earl of Snowdon’s work was included in an exhibition, A Different Perspective, at the National Portrait Gallery in London in 2016.
