Dana Reeve (1961–2006) passed away on March 6th, 2006 at the age of 44. She was best known as an American actress and singer, and for her marriage to actor Christopher Reeve. Dana was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, and studied theatre arts at Northwestern University. She began her professional career as a Broadway actress and went on to appear in several television series as well as in films. In addition to her acting, she was an accomplished singer and performer. She met her late husband, actor Christopher Reeve, at a workshop on Broadway in 1986. The couple later married and had one child together. Dana's strong resolve and dedication to her husband, especially during his long battle with debilitating illness, earned her respect from many around the world. After her husband's death in 2004, she established the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, an organization dedicated to curing spinal cord injury and other injuries of the nervous system. Dana's life and legacy will be remembered.
