Dhyan Chand Kushwaha, renowned hockey player and champion of many prestigious awards, passed away on 1979-12-03. He was 74 years old. Kushwaha was a renowned Indian hockey player. During his lifetime, he achieved legends status, particularly with his help in leading India's hockey team to three Olympic gold medals. His remarkable efforts earned him the country's highest recognition in the form of Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards. Kushwaha was admired for his remarkable skills and was known to be a master of shots. He had won several national championships for his team, and his technical skills made him an asset that every team wanted. Kushwaha will always be remembered for his remarkable dedication to the sport and as an icon for the country. He is survived by his wife, four sons, and three daughters.
