He went on to play for several teams in France before making the move to Wales with Cardiff City in January 2019. Sala gained notoriety amongst footballers and the masses alike for his remarkable goal-scoring rate; scoring over one goal per two appearances ratios for many of the clubs he represented. His brief but promising career reached an unfortunate end on 21st January 2019, when a plane carrying Sala crashed over the English Channel.
I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity. Gilda Radner
