Erin Moran, beloved actress most widely known for her work as Joanie Cunningham in the 1970s and 1980s sitcom Happy Days, has died at the age of 56. Moran started her entertainment career at a young age, working as a child actress in various films and television shows in the late 1960s and early 1970s before landing the role of Joanie Cunningham in the iconic sitcom Happy Days. Moran charmed audiences for 11 years with her portrayal of Joanie, and received a Young Artist Award for her work in the show in 1984. She also made appearances in other shows such as The Love Boat and Murder, She Wrote over the years. In addition to being an accomplished actress, Moran was an animal rights activist and passionate philanthropist, donating her time and money to many charitable organizations. It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Erin Moran. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her both on and off the screen.
