George Sanders (April 3, 1906 – April 25, 1972) was a British actor and singer. He was best remembered for his performances in the films Rebecca (1940), All About Eve (1950), and Saber of London (1954), as well as for his role in the television series The George Sanders Mystery Theater (1964–1965). Throughout his career, George Sanders made his mark in both the film and television industries, performing in numerous leading and supporting roles. He received an Academy Award in 1950 for his performance in All About Eve. Over the course of his four-decade-long career, Sanders was also nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe awards. He died in Castelldefels, Barcelona at the age of 65.
