Harvey Korman, the beloved comedian, actor, director, and producer, passed away at the age of 81 on May 29, 2008. Born in 1927 in Chicago, Korman simultaneously pursued a classical career and dive into the world of comedy. He attended the Goodman School of Drama and worked as a traffic reporter and actor for radio shows. His first golden moment on television was in tv panel show Calvalcade of Stars in 1959 alongside Jonathan Winters. After that, he gained an entire career with some unforgettable performances and characters. During his life, Korman starred in several movies such as the comic western The Pirate in 1979, Blazing Saddles in 1974, and High Anxiety in 1977; and TV shows, including The Carol Burnett Show, The Blazing Baddles Show, The U.S. of Archie, and Mad About You. His most recent works were in Finding Nemo soloas a voice actor and the film Georgia Rule. Korman's career earned him nominations for seven Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe awards, and one BAFTA award, as well as four Academy Award nominations. Korman is survived by his wife Deborah Korman, children Ronald Korman, Maria Korman, and Kate Korman.
