On July 16th, 2023 the world lost the beloved Jane Birkin. Jane was born December 14th, 1946 in London, England. She was an actress, singer, and model who achieved fame as an actress in France during the 1960s and 1970s. Among her many accomplishments was her role in the 1969 film "Slogan" which won her the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. She was best known for her musical collaboration with Serge Gainsbourg, where they released an iconic duet album in the 1970s. Jane leaves behind a daughter and four grandchildren. She was also aching to her famous Hermes Birkin bag, with which she helped create in 1984. Jane’s passing was mourned throughout the world. She will be remembered not only for her work in film and music, but also for her activism and philanthropy.
