Throughout his more than four decades-long career as an academic, Baudrillard published scores of influential works, including Simulacra and Simulation, The System of Objects, and The Intelligence of Evil or The Lucidity Pact. He was a professor at institutions throughout Europe, including the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, and the University of Paris X: Nanterre. Jean Baudrillard was born on July 27, 1929 in Reims, France and is survived by his family. He will be remembered as an inspiration in the fields of critical analysis and philosophy, and his legacy will continue to shape the world of thought for generations to come.
