American missionary (1991-2018).

Died November 17th, 2018 at 26 years old in North Sentinel Island. [ref]
John Allen Chau (1992-2018) passed away in November 2018 at the age of 26. He was from Alabama and attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had a passion for adventure and a strong faith in Jesus Christ. On a trip to remote North Sentinel Island in the Indian Ocean, John wanted to share his faith with the isolated tribe living there. On November 17th, 2018, his attempt to make contact with the tribe led to his tragic demise. John is survived by his parents, sister, friends, and many who admired his courage and mission. He will be sorely missed, and remembered for his enthusiasm for life and his desire to spread the Christian faith.
